[attr="class","GGcontainer2temp1"][break][break] [attr="class","GGcontenttemp1"] Rebekah is the daughter of Mikael and Esther Mikaelson. The younger sister to Freya who is unknown, Finn, Elijah, Niklaus, Kol, and Henrik who passes away. As the only girl in the Mikaelson family besides Esther, Rebekah was always a little bit of a princess. She was only eighteen years old when she was turned into a vampire after the loss of her youngest brother Henrik. While at first, Rebekah considered her transition from human to a vampire as euphoric, she quickly learned that immortality had its downfalls. The flowers that grew at the base of the white oak tree, vervain, was poison to vampires and prevented them from compelling others, they could no longer walk in the sun, and worst of all was the insatiable thirst for human blood. [break][break] After Rebekah, Elijah, and Klaus realized the wood carved from the white oak tree would be fatal to them, the three siblings burned down the tree and swore to one another that they would never turn on each other and stick together as one, always and forever. It’s a promise that Rebekah has kept to this very day and will continue to keep for the rest of her immortal life. Klaus hasn’t made it easy on her to keep such a promise, though, that’s for certain. Through their centuries on earth, the brother she once knew to be kind and caring became controlling and manipulative. The one thing Rebekah had always wanted more than anything else was to love and to be loved, but Niklaus refused to allow his sister that for fear of losing what he considered to be rightfully his to some other man. Luck never seemed to be on Rebekah’s side. [break][break] Residing in Italy with Klaus and Elijah in 1114, Rebekah fell in love with a man named Alexander who was a part of a supernatural vampire hunting group known as the Brotherhood of the Five. Her relationship with him allowed her brothers to get closer to him and question him about Alexander’s brotherhoods mission. Despite the fact that she was a vampire though she hadn’t revealed that to him and he a hunter, Rebekah was in love with him and planned to marry him. She’d even had the church picked out, as naive as that was. [break][break] It still came as a surprise when Alexander and his brotherhood of men attempted to kill both her and her siblings.That was her first time experiencing heartbreak, but most certainly not her last. There were much more after that, but only one worth noting. Emil was the governor’s son whom Rebekah had fallen in love with during their time in New Orleans. She’d been on the brink of losing her humanity, but Emil and a second chance at love allowed the thousand-year-old vampire to keep hold of what little bit remained. She’d wanted to turn him into a vampire so she could spend forever with him, but upon her asking for Klaus’ permission to do so - Klaus only laughed at the idea and proclaimed that nobody was good enough for her before shoving him off a balcony and killing him. [break][break] Rebekah’s tried many times over the years to assert herself over Klaus’ controlling antics, but she’s found herself just as caught in his cycle of abuse as Elijah has. Unable to break free from that promise of Always and Forever that she’d made so many years ago, Rebekah has blindly followed Klaus from country to country before he took them back to the place she was born. Rebekah fell for Marcel who was a slave saved by Klaus when he was a young boy. Growing up Rebekah and Marcel fell for each other, and Klaus caught them one day making out which ended up in Klaus almost killing Marcel. Rebekah was punished by being daggered because of her relationship was with Marcel, and was condemned in her coffin for over ninety years. Secretly Rebekah and Marcel went against Klaus bringing Mikael to New Orleans, and after that the siblings ran leaving Elijah behind to stall Mikael so they could get away. [break][break] Klaus and Rebekah arrived in Chicago, there she met a man named Stefan Salvatore who was a vampire and known as the ripper. She fell for Stefan hard and wanted to be in a relationship with him, but knowing Klaus he was possessive of his sister, but at the same time liked Stefan. Rebekah wanted to spend the rest of her life with Stefan since he made her happy. When their father managed to hunt them in Chicago, Klaus tried telling Rebekah to leave, but she wouldn't leave Stefan. Outside Rebekah choose to leave Niklaus wanting to stay with Stefan, but their was consequences to her actions. Once again, Rebekah was daggered for another ninety years. Stored away in a coffin a long with her other siblings.
