The war is finally over, and Voldemort is defeated. The saviors of the day, former Death Eaters that call themselves the Omega, have finally had their day in courts, and were exonerated from all charges. There are still some, however, that believe that the former Death Eaters are getting off too lightly for the crimes that they committed during their days under Voldemort's rule. Popular opinion, however, revers them as heroes. Between picking up the pieces left over by Voldemort's rule, and now a society with increased speculation on whether the new 'heroes' are actually on the side of good, the world is still leagues away from what one could call peacetime.
There is a new Minister in charge, a Mister Dax Maddox. He has a massive amount of restoration to take care of. Between cleaning up the mess that the former Minister left behind, there is now also the threat that looms over Hogwarts. The Centaurs have absolutely revolted, claiming the whole of the land for themselves, and threatening the safety of anyone seen outside of the school. Their former passive nature toward the students has crumbled, and they have waged war on anyone to cross into their territory- that is, the whole of the grounds and forest. The Minister decreed that the term would resume as normal, but that all students have to be escorted while on the grounds while they work to appease the Centaurs.
